Why Chaos Is Exciting

Chaos excites me. Chaos means potential, possibilities, and change. Chaos means you’re sick and tired of the way things have been and now you’re going to do something about it.

When I was little I hated cleaning my room. It would get so dirty you couldn’t even walk through it so I would “clean” it by throwing everything under my bed and in my closet. Except then I couldn’t find anything.

Eventually I would get so tired of not being able to play with my toys because they were spread all over the place, that I would actually clean my room. When I cleaned my room, I would take everything I had hidden under and behind things and put it all in the middle of my room. It would look like chaos when I was cleaning, with a big pile of toys and stuff covering my carpet, but nothing was hidden. I would then put all the pieces of the games and matching toys together and put them away so I could find them until my room was clean.

Sometimes we think it’s easier to put all of our “stuff” under the bed or in the closet or hide it away somewhere it won’t be seen. Except we know it’s there, waiting for us. When we get too much “stuff” it gets more and more uncomfortable until it reaches a point where we HAVE to do something about it… either we get sick, tired, or sick and tired.

This is where chaos sets in, at least it looks like chaos. Really, it’s just us undoing things we have been hiding and going through them. If you’re in a space where your life looks like chaos, I’m excited for you! It means you’re in the process of creating the changes in your life that you want.

If you’re in the middle of the chaos feeling confused and not sure where to go, I’m putting the finishing touches on my newest course, Chaos to Calm. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
