5 Things To Try During An Anxiety of Panic Attack

I had almost daily anxiety and panic attack for about 9 months. It took me that long to realize I wasn’t really dying and to use these techniques to help me stop them in their tracks. Remember that fear and faith cannot coexist. So if you are in fear, try to switch to faith as soon as possible.

1- Put one hand on your stomach and one hand on your heart and breathe in for a count of 4, hold it for 3 heartbeats, and breathe out for a count of 4. If you can do this while walking and matching your footsteps to breath that helps, too.

2- sing your favorite song

3- start saying every single thing you are grateful for

5-  look around and find 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, and one thing you can taste in the room. This helps you ground.

Hopefully one of these will help stop a full attack from coming on. It is also important to release as much stress as you can in your life, in general. I found meditation, yoga, and journaling to be invaluable in my life for overcoming stress.
